She served as a writing consultant on PBS Rogue History, contributing editorial guidance to the show's development.

For two years, she was a consulting editor at the Economic Hardship Reporting Project, a journalism nonprofit founded by Barbara Ehrenreich.

She was also the editor of ¡No Pasarán! by Matt Christman, a book about the Spanish Civil War.
